Hair Makeover

I seriously, need a haircut.

Well, a change in style at leeeeaasst!

For many moons now, my hair has always been more or less the same style. The difference has always just been length. Ever since college, it has always been slightly longer or shorter, or thinner or thicker, with slight changes in colour. That's it!

So I don't care, I want a change soon! And so I have decided, I want to get curls! :D

But just like most girls, I'm not going to just simply step into any salon for this. I want somebody experienced! Professional! And most importantly, lets just put it this way; One who knows his shiet. Don't you agree?

And then, I found Matthew Mack.

A former Creative Director of the award-winning Toni & Guy Europe team (who is right here in KL!) and not to mention, winner of several competitions and experienced educator in giving expert advice in seminars around the world (that was a mouthful wasn't it? Lol!), you can't help but want to try him out!

RedRibbon Days has this very Hair Makeover Package by Matthew Mack, and I'm dyinnnngg to give this a try as my hair is already screaming for help! This experience includes cut, blow, full colour service and even a complimentary hair treatment worth RM200 exclusively only for RedRibbon Days customers!

Soon maybe, I just will. Maybe end of this year, when my musical performance is over (because I'm advised to not change my hairstyle until after the performance).

So anyone out there also dying for a change in hair style or know anyone who desperately needs one? Give them a Hair Makeover! This will make the perfect gift for them!

So wait for me Matthew! I'mma comin real soon! ;D

Cheers everyone!

Human Revolution, The Musical

Soka Gakkai Malaysia Selangor presents an original musical production, adapted from the novel of a true story, Human Revolution.

The book takes off after Josei Toda (2nd President of Soka Gakkai) was released from prison; his detention due to the oppression of freedom of religion in Japan during World War 2. And while he emerged from the prison as a free man, many people around him were shrouded by despair and some were at the brink of death due to the ongoing war.

Seeing the sufferings of the people around him, Josei Toda had vowed to realize his mentor, Tsunesaburo Makiguchi's (1st President of Soka Gakkai) dream to rebuild Soka Gakkai, a value creating society, that can be attained through the spread of Nichiren Daishonin's Buddhism to the whole of Japan. This book captures the very spirit of Josei Toda on overcoming all his challenges, to emerge victoriously in every struggle of his life and how his determination, changed the lives of many.

A musical that lets you walk through the footsteps of Josei Toda's life as a true disciple, a dedicated teacher, a self-less mentor and the destiny that led to the encounter of his most loyal disciple, Daisaku Ikeda, known as Shin'ichi Yamamoto (pen name in the novel), who is also none other than Soka Gakkai International's President today.

This November and December, take a journey to the heart and soul of this story and discover the unbreakable bond of a disciple and his mentor, that further led to a change in the destiny of millions of lives throughout the world.

A wise man once said:
"A great human revolution in just a single individual will help achieve a change in the destiny of a nation and further, can even enable a change in the destiny of all humankind." - Daisaku Ikeda
So true.

Re-telling the greatness of a single man's Human Revolution. This is what this compelling musical is all about.

And, this is the very musical which I will be performing in at the end of this year. :)

Cheers!

Spending My Birthday Present

On my birthday I received a sweet surprise present from my bosses. This was really such a delightful surprise because the gift they gave me was one of the many experiences I've always had my eye on from RedRibbon Days. :)

It was, the ATV Waterfall Adventure experience.

One of the best part about receiving a RedRibbon Day gift is that it is valid for 6 months. So I can choose to go for this experience whenever I wanted to within half a year. And guess what, I finally chose to go for my experience just a few days before my expiry date! I got it on March and I only went for it on September. Hehehe.

And oh boy, was I glad I didn't accidentally let my voucher expire.

I manage to get my cousins and friends along with me for this as well. We were all very
excited for this day because it has also been awhile since we've done an outdoor outing together like this!

After we finally arrive (I was beginning to worry that I was leading them to the
wrong place!), we put on our safety helmets, went through a short briefing and hop on the bikes! At this time, I don't why, but I felt a bit nervous! I was worried that I might loose control of the bikes while going downhill and result in me flying off the trail or something. Heh heh.

Thankfully, we all get to practice a couple of rounds before we head off to the real ATV trail. After the much needed practice, it was time to face the jungle.

And I could remember, the very first thing we needed to do once we enter the jungle was to climb up a really steep terrain. This was really exciting! I can remember our instructor at this time was like "Tekan! Tekan! Jangan lepas! Jangan lepas!" Haha! You see, our accelerator and brakes for the ATV bikes are all on the handles of the bikes. So you can imagine, how tired our fingers were at the end of the trail.

Oh and for all of you who are also a scardy cat like me, don't worry, an instructor will be
there to guide you at all times. And for our case there were 2 of them cause there were 7 of us in the group.

All of us got better and better at controlling the bikes as we went on further
in the trail. The only thing I wished I did was to actually capture the sights along the trail, because some areas really were beautiful! There was this area where it was all just filled with bamboos and even fallen bamboos and trees right above the trail where there was space just big enough for us bikers to pass through. Well, something like the picture below, but better! :D

It was definitely an interesting trail indeed.

And nothing beats resting and just chillin by the waterfall after quite a ride through the bumpy terrain. Well, I guess there's nothing much to say but let the pictures speak for themselves.

After saying bye bye to the waterfall and on our last ride back out, I was wishing I could go faster and faster! Hahaha! The bumpier the better I say! :P

Overall the experience was really good. In fact, we all wished the trail could go on longer.

Terima kasih manyak manyak Sherin, Nik and Ming Ne! It was a great experience indeed!

Definitely worth the go guys!
