Malaysia Day

On this yet another newly found public holiday in Malaysia, I would like to share with you folks a really hilarious video. It’s actually a DIGI ad done in celebration of Malaysia Day.

I have to say, DIGI is one of the few local companies here that is most consistent in coming up with ads that are interesting, memorable and entertaining.

I love how this ad seems so effortlessly done, but in fact, so much attention to detail has been put into this; From the different types of slangs to the common stereotypical funny characteristics of each race. Like how the Chinese aunty has rollers on the hair with the “chui hun” (some white powder thingy that hardens on your face when you mix with water) and how the Punjabi man had his baju button-ed all the way till the top with his gold watch! ; and I especially love how they chose only 1 guy to play every part and all races and even the DIGI man! Hahaha! I absolutely love this idea! :D

It’s really ads like this that make me feel great to be a Malaysian! Looking forward to more ads like this. And, for some sambal belacan now. Hehe.

So let us all please put aside colour, race and religion shall we? We are definitely all different. In fact, the very beauty of our nation is that we are different! But, still same same nonetheless mah. :)

Have a wonderful Malaysia Day everyone!

Cheers!

Selamat Hari Raya!

By the way, found a very interesting picture on this festive occasion.

......

It's Spongebob Square Pants and Patrick also celebrating Raya!

Here's wishing to all our Muslim sisters and brothers Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri!
Maaf zahir & batin.

p/s: And is his house a lemang instead of a pineapple? LOL!

Have fun and happy holidays every one! :D

Cheers!

Back to Glee

Okay, okay, I know I said I was going to post these videos up, I didn't forget. ;)

So here goes!

And in case you don't know what this is all about, these, are videos of my performances on the very last day of my Glee Workshop.

You can read more about it in the link above if you'd like. But in a nutshell, I was given the chance by my company, RedRibbon Days to attend this musical workshop as it is one of the limited edition experience packages that we were selling in our website. Why limited edition? This is because this musical workshop is conducted by experienced facilitators flown all the way from the West End with Glee as the theme! So they were only here for 2 sessions.

For just 5 days, me and the rest of the girls in my group, have to learn to sing, dance, work together and ensure we coordinate well with mics, lighting, backstage costume changes and etc for 4 different numbers! And mind you, they are all just kids!

So if you're curious on how we did on the performance day, here below are the videos. Please don't laugh please!

Singing performance: Lean On Me

I don't know if you can tell, but I actually was on the verge of forgetting my lyrics during my solo. Take a shot and see if you can guess which part it was! See whether my cover jadi or not. Hehehe.

Dance Performance: Vogue

The hardest performance of all! I'm really not much of a dancer, I used to love to dance actually but now I'm just too pre-occupied in trying to figure out what are the next steps! :P

Sing and Dance Performance: Gaga's Bad Romance

Never. In. My. Life, would I have thought I would ever crawl on the floor together with little girls around me in tights singing "RAR RAR RA AH AA-H, GA GA OOH LA LA-H"!!!

Sing and Dance Finale: Jump

Oh, I enjoyed Jump the most! This number was the one that, instead of making me feel older (because I was amongst younger kids), I really felt like a kid all over again. The type of energy which children have and the glow that all of them have in their faces is just so fascinating and endearing at the same time.

And contagious too. That's why at the end of each day at the workshop, I always leave feeling so bright and shiny eventhough it's exhausting! :D :D :D

The workshop really was fun. If you're the type who loves and appreciates musicals and performing arts, this is one workshop which I would highly recommend.

So if you are interested or know anyone who might be interested in this workshop, not too worry, as there will be another one end of this year, December! This package isn't up on our website yet, but just to give you a hint, it's also run by a hot West End Star and the theme? "Magic of the Musicals"! So you can expect mash up of songs from hit musicals such as Cats, Fame, Hairspray and even Glee too!

So if you're curious and maybe would like to find out more about this, jangan malu, just ask! :) Or if you're still shy, check out www.redribbondays.com.my!

Cheers everyone!
